One integral part of a great movie or show is the soundtrack. In some cases, it can really make or break a movie. There will also be a video where I’ll be going over what you guys voted to be some of the most iconic soundtracks, and what makes a good movie score. I hope you enjoy!
Movie Soundtracks
For this article, I wanted to talk a little bit about movie soundtracks. For most people, the music in a certain movie or show, can really add a lot to what you’re watching. It can bring another whole level of emotions to what’s displayed on the screen. Now we all know that award shows don’t necessarily reflect the opinions of the general public, but I’m going to mention the Oscars anyway. Here are some of the movie’s that have won the award for the best original score in the past few years:
2019: Black Panther -composer, Ludwig Goransson
2018: The Shape of Water -composer, Alexandre Desplat
2017: La La Land -composer, Justin Hurwitz
2016: The Hateful Eight- composer, Ennio Morricone
2015: Grand Budapest Hotel- composer, Alexandre Desplat
Movie Fact Of The Month:
The well known line from the movie Jaws, “You’re gonna need a bigger boat,” wasn’t in the original script. Actor Roy Schnieder actually improvised it because he was joking about the small boat the producers had used to hold all of the filming equipment.
Movie Quote Of The Month:
“Just because someone stumbles and loses their path, doesn’t mean they’re lost forever.” -Professor X “X-Men: Days of Future Past.”
