In this time of covid we have had to experience many new regulations and changes to the way we live our lives. During this time it has been more difficult for some people than others. But there is a specific group of people that are now having to go into a new stage of life with the challenges of covid. This issue is being dedicated to the seniors this year. And for my article I'm here asking them a simple question, “How has Covid impacted your life as a Senior in highschool?” Here are some of their responses and make sure to check out the video to see two very important students at our school talk about this year.
Timothy
“Covid has been a challenging time especially for most and me as a senior. But I am grateful to be at Auburn Adventist Academy because they have been doing their very best to provide an education and do what they are supposed to do even with the regulations and rules that the school has to follow.”
Keagan
“Covid has impacted my senior year in highschool because it has drastically reduced the amount of personal connection that is allowed between me and my classmates. It also made it so that we are limited in the amount and style of activities that our senior class can do. That said, we still have been able to plan some smaller things which is somewhat exciting!”
Eric
“ I am a senior now and I've been accepted by colleges but I don’t think covid will end soon, and I think it will affect me in college with having to take online classes… I can’t really meet people face to face and that's kinda hard.”
Almonds
"Covid has made me miss out on a lot of things but at the same time has helped me grow in areas I didn’t know I needed to grow in. It has also forced me to learn new ways of communication and change certain social norms. Covid has also made me carry myself with the mindset that not everything is promised so treat it like it’s not."
