For some people, every time they make a choice, they struggle for a long time. It's easy to have regrets after making certain choices. Coupled with a lack of self-confidence, they always feel that the decisions made by others are better, and in the end, they are afraid to make the decisions themselves. So when they are at home, they often let their family members make the decision instead of them. When they are outside, they let their friends decide for them. When they have no one to rely on, they get confused about making decisions.
Recently, I was talking to my friends about why people have a hard time making decisions. We thought that the most important point is they feel that there will always be a better choice. Everyone hopes that they choose what they like without spending too much effort. So when they face the choice, they don't focus on the present but hope that the next one will be better. They are afraid that if they make a decision now, they will regret it later. Also, they may feel irritable when they face too many choices, so they want to escape from making decisions.
The way that my friends always use to help them make the decision is trust intuition. Even lots of people think intuition is not reliable, but that the easiest and the fastest way to help people to make a decision. Also, we should accept imperfections. When making a decision, don't pursue perfection too much. Accept the imperfections after the choice. When we find that the result is not perfect after making the decision, focus more on how to improve next time.
The last thing is, don’t decide at midnight. A writer once said, “Don’t make any decisions at midnight, just go to sleep and wait until you wake up.” Oftentimes at night, people are more emotional and their hearts are more fragile. So it takes a lot of self-control to restrain the impulse at that moment, or you will regret it the next day.
