I'm sad to say it but, the last couple of games for sports are coming to a close. Our teams have been doing well, playing hard and having fun. I want to say that I'm extremely grateful that we had the chance to play sports especially during these times. I know that it was hard adjusting to the rules and regulations of sports, but we did our best to follow them and we ended things with another good sports season. This sports season felt like it was really short, but the memories will fill that gap.
There were some special events that happened the past couple of weeks for our Boy’s Soccer team. We are the proud owners of the Battle Of The Sound trophy. Battle off the sound is a special event that happens between our school and our sister school Puget Sound Academy. The winner of the sport that is played, takes home a trophy. Our Boys soccer team won the game 3-0 and took home the trophy with a well earned win.
Unfortunately, our boys soccer team didn't win their last game of the season. I don't know much about girls soccer or girls volleyball but,(I would like you to find this out so that we can shout them out and or give everyone an update on how their seasons ended.) I know they worked hard to get to where they are now.
Cross Country had their last meet on Thursday and I know that they had fun this season even though they didn't place as high as they wanted to. A statement from one of off the cross country runners Ethan Heisler, “I’m not gonna lie and say that cross country is a fun sport because it isn’t. That said, it’s definitely one of the most rewarding sports I’ve played because of how satisfying it is to improve, win meets, and get PRs”.
In conclusion, this sports season was a fun one to watch. I'm looking forward to what happens in the future of auburn sports and what new things are coming to auburn sports to help it improve and make it more fun for the future students.
