“Instead, you must worship CHRIST as LORD of your life. And if someone asks about your hope as a believer, always be ready to explain it.” - The Apostle Peter (1 Peter 3:15)
I have talked a lot about Apologetics, which is the defense of the Christian faith for those of you who are new or who forgot, and this verse is commonly used when it comes to Apologetics. There are countless reasons to trust the Bible’s validity and I have gone over some of them in this column so far, but this month I thought I would take a different approach. Once someone gets to the point where they believe and trust that Christianity is true, how do they fulfill CHRIST’S Great Commission of Matthew chapter 28? JESUS said, “Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the FATHER and the SON and the HOLY SPIRIT. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” For this article I decided to sit down with Pastor Rome from The Auburn Adventist Academy Church to discuss how to defend and share our faith with others. I hope this can be a blessing, GOD bless.
